《BioShock》由IrrationalGames(科幻類型RPG遊戲迷所熟知的《SystemShock2（網路
奇兵2）》便是IrrationalGames所製作的)採用「Vengeance」引擎開發(改良自Epic的「
UnrealEngine3.0」)，支援DirectX10，將於今年8月21日發佈，登陸Xbox360和PC平台。
該遊戲被看作是《SystemShock2》(網路奇兵2)的精髓續作，也是2007年最值得期待的遊戲
之一。IrrationalGames去年宣佈將推出這款恐怖類型的動作冒險遊戲（其中也將融合一些
角色扮演及策略成份在內），就遊戲名稱上的解讀，這也是款內容與生化科技（甚至是生化
危機）脫離不了關係的遊戲；雖然IrrationalGames總經理KenLevine表示過《BioShock》
將不會是《網路奇兵》系列的續作，也和這些遊戲沒有關聯，不過就某些地方來講，《BioShoc
k》還是有些地方近似於《網路奇兵2》以及《DeusEx》。就目前已知的情報看來，《BioShoc
k》將使用IrrationalGames引以為傲的Vengeance引擎強化過後的版本來開發，遊戲裡將
有類似《網路奇兵2》中的插槽（slot）升級設計來供不同質體（plasmid）使用，透過正確
的質體組合好讓玩家角色適應遊戲裡的環境。
《BioShock》遊戲裡將有五項基本的武器種類可供使用，像是手槍、霰彈槍以及步槍等，不過
不同於一般第一人稱射擊遊戲裡的玩家總有多種不同新武器可以使用，《BioShock》每種武器
僅提供開發原型款式（prototype）供玩家使用，玩家必須藉由不同的升級套件來把這些原型武
器改造成更強或是具有特殊功能的武器，例如步槍可以改成狙擊步槍，或是把簡單的彈道發射
器改成榴彈發射器等。玩家在《BioShock》中也可利用生物掃瞄裝置或是相機來拍攝敵人的照
片，越清楚的照片將有助於玩家發現一些特殊物種的弱點；遊戲中也將可能會出現人類以及非
人類型式的敵人。

theirownsurvival.

MultiplayerinBioShock2willprovidearichprequelexperiencethatexpands
theoriginsoftheBioShockfiction.SetduringthefallofRapture,players
assumetheroleofaPlasmidtestsubjectforSinclairSolutions,apremier
providerofPlasmidsandTonicsintheunderwatercityofRapturethatwas
firstexploredintheoriginalBioShock.Playerswillneedtouseallthe
elementsoftheBioShocktoolsettosurvive,asthefulldepthofthe
BioShockexperienceisrefinedandtransformedintoauniquemultiplayer
experiencethatcanonlybefoundinRapture.
